2009

Firm begins strategic expansion extending its business base from Camberwell and opening a Chelsea office

2008

Robin Cripp (former chairman of Barnard Marcus) acquires Andrews & Robertson

1990's

John Weatherall, Jayne Mountain, Majid Gharbaoui and Dominic Smith join the firm, as it becomes a stand alone auction house.

1980's

Clapham office manager Tony Hyland becomes a partner

1970's

Jeremy Reed joins the Partnership

1960's

Merges with Andrews & Sons

Merges with Price & Bathurst of Clapham

Alan Conning, Andrew Smith (Hubert's grandson) and Geoffrey Tobin join the firm

1950's

Hubert's son, John, joins the partnership. Bernard Cooke becomes a partner in the architectural and building department

1940's

After trading throughout WWII the firm handles war damage and compensation claims on compulsory acquisition for redevelopments in bombed areas of South London

1920's

Hubert and Donald (Alexander's sons) join the practice

1919

Alexander is elected as a Fellow of the Auctioneer's Institute

1914-1918

After prospering throughout the early 1900s, the firm survives WW1

1884

Alexander Robertson commences as an auctioneer at 3 Camberwell Church Street

1855

W Andrews & Sons established with offices at 75 Camberwell Church Street
